TerraMine ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data when you use the TerraMine mobile application ("the App").
By using TerraMine, you agree to the collection and use of information described in this policy.
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a username/nickname you choose. We also collect your date of birth to verify that you meet our minimum age requirement (13+) and to determine eligibility for age-restricted content (18+). Your age and date of birth are stored securely in Google Firebase and are never shared with other players.
Location Data
TerraMine is a location-based game. With your permission, we collect your precise GPS location to:
Location is only accessed while the app is in use. We do not track your location in the background.
Photos
You may optionally attach a photo when checking in to a property. Photos are uploaded to Google Firebase Storage and are visible to the property owner and other visitors. Photo upload is always optional and user-initiated.
Gameplay Data
We collect data about your in-app activity, including properties you own, TerraBucks balance, check-in history, game results, and resource earnings. This data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore and is used to operate the game.
Device & Usage Data
We may collect non-personal device information such as device type, operating system version, and app performance data to improve the App experience.
Push Notification Tokens
If you grant notification permissions, we collect your device's push notification token to send you in-app alerts such as daily reminders and notifications when someone visits your property. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
In-App Currency & Earnings
TerraMine tracks your TerraBucks (TB) balance and USD earnings accumulated through gameplay. These are in-game values only. USD earnings may be traded in for TerraBucks at your request — no real money is transferred. This data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
TerraMine displays optional rewarded video advertisements via Google AdMob. You may choose to watch an ad to earn in-game rewards such as extra attempts or earning boosts. Ads are never required to play the game.
Google AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve relevant ads. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or California, you will be shown a consent prompt before any personalized advertising is enabled. You may review or change your ad preferences at any time in the Settings screen.

Reporting
You may report check-in messages or photos that violate our community guidelines. Reports are stored in our database and reviewed by TerraMine. Reported content may be automatically hidden after a threshold of reports is reached. Reports include the content ID and the reason selected — your identity as a reporter is not shared with the reported user.
Blocking
You may block other users to hide their content from your view. Blocked user IDs are stored in your account record in Firebase. Blocking is one-way and not disclosed to the blocked user.
Age-Restricted Content
Check-in photos may be flagged as adult content (18+) by the uploader. Users under 18, as determined by their date of birth, will not see photos flagged as adult content. Users with no date of birth on file or whose age cannot be verified are treated as minors for content filtering purposes.
We share data only with the following trusted service providers who help us operate the App:
All service providers are contractually required to handle your data securely and only for the purposes we specify.
We may disclose your information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of TerraMine, our users, or the public.
We retain your account and gameplay data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal information and gameplay data will be permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days.
You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen inside the App.
Inactivity Policy
Accounts inactive for 6 consecutive months will be suspended (no new earnings accrued). Accounts inactive for 12 months will be forfeited — TerraBucks balance, USD earnings, and all owned properties will be reset. Virtual properties (TAs) that have received no activity for 12 months will be returned to the map for other players to claim. Multiple warnings are sent before any suspension or forfeiture action is taken. For the full inactivity policy, visit terramine.app.
You have the right to delete your TerraMine account and all associated personal data at any time. No data is retained after deletion except as noted below.

All personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days of your deletion request.
If you cannot access the app and need to request deletion, email us at support@terramine.app with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and include the email address associated with your account.
TerraMine is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
EEA/UK residents (GDPR): Our legal basis for processing your data is performance of a contract (operating the game) and, where applicable, your consent (personalized ads, location access). You may withdraw consent at any time.
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and Google Firebase's built-in security infrastructure. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
